In the year 2147, the Space Station Orion orbited the desolate moon of Zeta-7, a remote celestial body rumored to hold the secrets of an ancient alien civilization. Dr. Victor Reynolds, a renowned xenobiologist, led the expedition to uncover these mysteries, accompanied by a crew of skilled astronauts and scientists.

The mission began with great promise. Dr. Reynolds and his team discovered a series of underground chambers filled with strange artifacts and alien remains. Among these was a crystalline substance emitting a faint, eerie glow. Driven by curiosity and ambition, Dr. Reynolds decided to study the substance, hoping to unlock its secrets.

As he conducted experiments, an unexpected incident occurred. The crystalline substance released a gas that quickly permeated the lab. Despite the crew’s best efforts to contain it, the gas spread throughout the space station. One by one, the crew members succumbed to its effects, their bodies contorting in agony before collapsing.

Dr. Reynolds, having inhaled the gas directly, experienced a more severe transformation. His mind clouded with pain and rage as his body mutated into something unrecognizable. He became the first of what would be known as the Astro Zombies—undead beings driven by an insatiable hunger and an uncontrollable urge for destruction.

With his humanity stripped away, the newly transformed Astro Zombie, once Dr. Reynolds, began to hunt the remaining crew members. His eyes, now a glowing green, reflected a deep-seated madness. Clad in his spacesuit, which now bore the marks of his violent transformation, he roamed the corridors of the space station, leaving a trail of horror in his wake.

The surviving crew, desperate and terrified, attempted to escape the space station. They sent a distress signal to Earth, hoping for a rescue that seemed increasingly unlikely as the Astro Zombie’s rampage continued. The once orderly and sterile environment of the Orion was now a scene of chaos, filled with the echoes of screams and the sound of metal tearing.

As the days turned into weeks, the space station drifted silently through space, a ghostly vessel carrying the remnants of Dr. Reynolds’ ambition and folly. The Astro Zombie, now devoid of any semblance of his former self, wandered endlessly, trapped in a state of perpetual hunger and rage.

Back on Earth, the distress signal was received, but the rescue mission faced numerous delays and complications. By the time a team arrived at the space station, it was too late. They found only the wreckage of the Orion and the haunting figure of the Astro Zombie, still clad in his tattered spacesuit, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.

Realising the danger, the rescue team sealed the station, ensuring that the Astro Zombie would never escape to spread his curse. The story of Dr. Victor Reynolds and the Astro Zombie became a grim legend, a cautionary tale of hubris and the unforeseen consequences of delving into the unknown.

And so, the Space Station Orion continued to drift through the void, a silent tomb for the Astro Zombie and a stark reminder of the perils that lie in the darkest corners of the universe.
